photographed in the wild, in northern Ontario Canada, this black wolf proved to be one of my more challenging images to take. This particular animal is the lowest ranking member of the pack. Biologists refer to him as the omega wolf. Lacking social status and being a wolf which every other member of the pack chooses to pick on makes him extremely skittish and difficult to approach. His black fur and the forest setting made for a challenging exposure.
