Dude I have 2 homing pigeons that have outrun tons of peregrines and they are still restless.

Looks are deceiving. It's more likely that the eagle is the threatened bird - smaller birds, being faster and more agile in flight, routinely "mob" the bigger ones to drive them off. It's funny - crows will mob a hawk, then the starlings will drive away the crows, then some smaller species will rout the starlings. FYI - the smaller bird is a Black-billed Magpie - a close relative of the common crow. I'm not smart enough to ID the eagle <G>.
