Blue food coloring in gelatin makes for some amazing "liquid" that defies gravity. :)

The glasses really are stacked that way.

Lighting is three clamp lamps ($5 at a hardware store) sitting on the table behind the glasses, pointing at the yellow wall so no light falls directly into the glasses. The glasses are a few feet away from the wall.

Because blue gelatin plus yellow bounced light = green, I corrected the color in Photoshop. Another issue is that yellow light has very little blue in it, so the gelatin appears very dark. I also corrected that in Photoshop.

Lesson learned: think about color mixing when choosing your food coloring!
